WHO’S RUNNING YOUR SHOW?

The other day, I was grabbing a few beers with a group of friends I’ve known for over 20 years. We make it a point to meet up once a year during the New Year holidays.

But here’s the reality: everyone has a family now, in-laws to visit, and the frantic hustle of the holidays. We only had one hour together, but the table was a mess of distractions. Everyone was busy texting parents, calling husbands, or checking in on kids. Every few minutes, I’d hear someone whisper into their phone, “I’m coming home soon, babe.”

Suddenly, a female friend in the group spoke up, her voice cutting through the noise:

“Seriously? 40 years on this planet, and we still have to ask for permission just to do something for ourselves?”

That sentence hit me like a ton of bricks. Especially since her husband was sitting right there next to her.

Two massive questions started racing through my mind:

  1. Am I actually the architect of my own life?
  2. Do I truly know what I’m doing, or am I just following a script?

I looked over at the friend who had just spoken. I saw a different kind of energy—a positive, grounded vibe of someone who had truly taken the wheel. She wasn’t just “living”; she was designing an interesting life. I looked at the success she’s built, the way she lives on her own terms, and the way she gives back—organizing charity events, providing scholarships for kids, and handing out rice to those struggling.

I didn’t just respect her. I was inspired by her.

And that is how Ahaalife was born.

Ahaalife exists for one reason: to spark the idea that it’s never too late to start designing a life worth living. We’re not here to tell you what to do. We’re here to help you realize that you own the pen.

So, who’s holding the pen in your life? Are you writing your own story, or are you still waiting for someone else to give you permission?

Ahaalife – Peace is here, and now. Take the wheel.
