DESIGNING MY OWN DAMN HAPPINESS

I used to be a world-class victim.

Back then, I lived in a bubble of misery. I was convinced that my unhappiness was everyone else’s fault—the toxic environment, the soul-crushing job, the “bad luck.” I pointed fingers at everything around me and accepted it as my destiny.

But then, I woke up to a much harsher reality: The biggest failure was me.

I had wasted years trying to fix things I couldn’t control while completely neglecting the one thing I actually owned: Myself.

So, I stopped complaining and started moving. Literally.

  • The Grind: I hit the pavement every single morning. For 5 years straight, I didn’t miss a beat. Over 7,000 kilometers later, those worn-out running shoes became my badges of honor. I didn’t run because I loved the pain; I ran to prove that my discipline was stronger than my excuses.
  • The Hustle: I spent 30 minutes every day studying investment strategies. 5 years of consistent learning created a cash flow that didn’t depend on my boss’s mood. Financial freedom isn’t about the money; it’s about the “exit ticket” it gives you.
  • The Wisdom: I tore through over 200 books. Not for the titles, but to understand the impermanence of life. It taught me that happiness isn’t a destination—it’s just a simpler way of looking at things.

The best part? I got my spark back. Now, every morning I wake up, look in the mirror, and think:

“I’m lucky as hell to have another day to design a life worth living.”

What about you? Are you still waiting for a miracle to fall from the sky?

Newsflash: You are the miracle.

Stop waiting for “the right time.” Start designing. Plot the life you actually deserve. Or don’t—it’s your call. But remember, if you don’t design your own life, someone else will do it for you. And trust me, they don’t have much planned for you.

Ahaalife – Peace is here, and now. Your move.
